Asialink is delighted to invite you to attend the launch of Great Game On : The Contest for Central Asia and Global Supremecy by Geoff Raby, former Australian ambassador to China (2007-2011).
Great Game On tells a story of the remaking of the world order, through an exploration of the Eurasian power shift. China’s expansion into Central Asia has been both incremental and deliberate. The withdrawal of the US from Afghanistan and Putin’s war in Ukraine have allowed China to expand its role and influence in the region.
In ‘Great Game On’, Geoff Raby seeks to understand China’s rise to global supremacy; what threats and risks must China address? And what happens when China becomes the established, stable, dominant power in Eurasia?
Join former Australian Ambassador to China and author of 'Great Game On' Geoff Raby AO in conversation with Professor of Law at UNSW Prof. Mimi Zou, Founder, Geopolitical Risks & Strategy Practice and china specialist Philipp Ivanov and former Australian Ambassador to Korea and Asialink Senior Advisor Colin Heseltine. The conversation will be moderated by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Global, Culture and Engagement Prof. Michael Wesley
